Echolocation
Today’s message from a whale or dolphin
Send a signal. Receive a gift.
A whale or dolphin sends out a sound and waits. The sound travels, meets something solid, and returns carrying the shape, the distance, the texture of what it touched. This is how a cetacean sees in the dark, in silt, in water too deep for light — to find food, avoid danger, and navigate a world it cannot see.
Here, you can echolocate too. Choose a species, or spin for one — that’s your signal going out. What you read back is your echo: a message shaped by what it touched. For a deeper reading, follow the Second Sounding.
